DAY 1 - HOBART TO STRAHAN (Stay overnight in Strahan)

We start our journey along the West Coast, stopping off firstly at Mt Field NP to admire the world's tallest flowering trees and spectacular Russell Falls. Next up is a visit to Australia's deepest freshwater lake - St Clair before lapping up stunning scenery passing through the Franklin-Gordon NP. You'll also get a glimpse of Tassies mining history is Queenstown before reaching our last stop in the picturesque harborside village of Stahan.


DAY 2 - WILD WEST COAST (Stay overnight in Strahan)

Today is for exploring! We visit the Tarkine Rainforest and hike to Tasmania's waterfall, Montezuma Falls. Next up is the Henty Sand Dunes, and an optional cruise on the magical Gordon River if you wish (at own expense). Later you'll breathe in the world's freshest air at Ocean Beach before heading back to Strahan where your guide will give you tips for spotting the elusive platypus.


DAY 3 - CRADLE MOUNTAIN TO LAUNCESTON (Stay overnight in Launceston)

Hikers dreams are made true as we explore the alpine and glacier landscapes of Cradle Mountain National Park, and either take a hike to Marion's lookout or a relaxing loop walk around Dove Lake. Look out for wombats at Ronny Creek and soak up beautiful sights before we admire the colorful murals in Sheffield on our way to the final stop in Launceston.


DAY 4 - LAUNCESTON TO BICHENO (Stay overnight in Bicheno)

We pay a visit to the stunning Cataract Gorge then drive along the scenic East Coast stopping at the Bay of Fires for a swim in the clear turquoise water (weather permitting). Enjoy exploring the beautiful white sandy beaches and boulders, and discovering the cultural significance of the area before we finish at the charming town of Bicheno where you have the option of taking a guided penguin tour!


DAY 5 - FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK TO HOBART (Stay overnight in Hobart)

Discover Freycinet National Park - the jewel of the East Coast, starting early to visit Wineglass Bay lookout before the crowds arrive. You can then hike the challenging Mt Amos or take a relaxing beach walk, after which you'll enjoy views of the amazing pink granite Hazards mountains from Cape Tourville before returning to Hobart along the Great Eastern Drive.


DAY 6 - BRUNY ISLAND (Stay overnight in Hobart)

Experience the renowned Bruny Island, home to dramatic scenery, outstanding local produce and amazing wildlife such as the rare white Bennett's wallaby. We spend the day tasting delicious food, sight-seeing, walking the coast and hiking, and we explore The Neck, Cape Bruny and Adventure Bay.


DAY 7: TASMAN PENINSULA

Our final day brings us to the Tasman Peninsula where we'll visit the colonial village of Richmond plus take in views of the incredible rugged coastline on route to Pirates Bay Lookout, Tasman Arch, Waterfall Bay and The Devil's Kitchen. We'll take a beautiful coastal hike from Remarkable Cave to the sand dunes of Crescent Bay, taking in stunning ocean views. If you prefer, take a visit to World Heritage listed Port Arthur Historic Site (at own expense) - Australia's best preserved convict settlement!

  • Accommodation information: This tour offers Hostel, Motel, and Comfort Plus style accommodation options.

    Motel and Comfort Style accommodations are based on private rooms with ensuite facilities.

    If booking Twin or Double accommodation options, a minimum of 2 persons is required. We are unable to match up single travelers into a Twin share option.

    Hostel Dorm style accommodation is based on same gender dormitory rooms with shared same-gender bathrooms. Own toiletries and towels are required.

    Hostel Twin/Double and Single rooms have shared same-gender bathrooms.

  • Meals: All our tours are self-catering; there are plenty of food-stops where you can purchase from restaurants, cafes, take-aways or even supermarkets should you be accommodated in a hostel and wish to use the hostels kitchen facilities.

    Group Size: Our maximum group size is 24 guests plus the tour guide. These small group sizes allow you plenty of time to get to know your fellow travelers and guide. Our tours are conducted in modern, comfortable air-conditioned buses. Luggage for multi-day tours is carried in a trailer.

    Cancellation terms:

    We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance which includes cover for cancellation costs.

    If you cancel some or all portions of your booking the cancellation terms set out below will apply.

    If you cancel a booking:

    • 21 days or more prior to departure, we will charge 25% of the total booking amount.
    • Within 8 to 20 days prior to departure, we will charge 50% of the booking amount.
    • 7 days or fewer prior to departure or no show, we will charge 100% of the booking amount.
