We start on the wild yet beautiful west coast famous for it's waterfalls, rainforests and wildlife heading across the alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain to the East Coasts white sandy Bay of Fires and iconic Wineglass Bay.

Diverse, beautiful and fun - this tour ticks all the boxes... and then some!


DAY 1: HOBART TO STRAHAN (Stay overnight in Strahan)

Discover the Western Wilds at Mt Field NP, visit Russell Falls and see some of the worlds tallest trees. Experience Lake St Clair within the world Heritage Area, rainforests and magnificent views. Explore the quirky mining area of Queenstown and discover it's pioneer history, then finish at the gorgeous harborside village of Strahan where your guides will provide tips for exploring the area and hopefully spotting the elusive platypus!


DAY 2: WILD WEST COAST (Stay overnight in Strahan)

Experience full scenic overload as we explore the Tarkine Rainforest, hike to Montezuma Falls (the highest in Tasmania) and explore Henty Sand Dunes, or opt for a Gordon River Cruise (own expense). You'll also have time to explore and breathe in the fresh air of the wild Ocean Beach before heading back to Strahan.


DAY 3: CRADLE MOUNTAIN TO LAUNCESTON (Stay overnight in Launceston)

Tick off the ultimate Tasmanian hikers bucket list dream - Cradle Mountain NP. This stunning area boasts amazing spots such as Marion's lookouts and glacial carved Dove Lake. Keep an eye out for wombats at Ronny Creek before heading to Sheffield and then Launceston, one of Australia's oldest cities.


DAY 4: LAUNCESTON TO BICHENO (Stay overnight in Bicheno)

Discover the beautiful Cataract Gorge before heading along the coast to some of Tasmania's most beautiful beaches including the turquoise waters of the Bay of Fires. Take your time soaking up the breathtaking scenery before we meander to the relaxed township of Bicheno where you'll enjoy the evening and can even take an optional guided penguin tour (own expense).


DAY 5: FREYCINET NATIONAL PARK TO HOBART

We start the day early to miss the crowds at the gorgeous Wineglass Bay Lookout, followed by a visit to the secluded beach where you can relax or walk Mt Amos if you're feeling adventurous. Soak in phenomenal views from Cape Tourville lighthouse then finish with a scenic drive back to Hobart.

  • Accommodation information:This tour offers Hostel, Motel, and Comfort Plus style accommodation options.

    Motel and Comfort Style accommodations are based on private rooms with ensuite facilities.

    If booking Twin or Double accommodation options, a minimum of 2 persons is required. We are unable to match up single travellers into a Twin share option.

    Hostel Dorm style accommodation is based on same gender dormitory rooms with shared same-gender bathrooms. Own toiletries and towels are required.

    Hostel Twin/Double and Single rooms have shared same-gender bathrooms.

  • Meals: All our tours are self-catering; there are plenty of food-stops where you can purchase from restaurants, cafes, take-aways or even supermarkets should you be accommodated in a hostel and wish to use the hostels kitchen facilities.

    Group Size: Our maximum group size is 24 guests plus the tour guide. These small group sizes allow you plenty of time to get to know your fellow travellers and guide. Our tours are conducted in modern, comfortable air-conditioned buses. Luggage for multi-day tours is carried in a trailer.

    Cancellation terms:

    We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance which includes cover for cancellation costs.

    If you cancel some or all portions of your booking the cancellation terms set out below will apply.

    If you cancel a booking:

    • 21 days or more prior to departure, we will charge 25% of the total booking amount.
    • Within 8 to 20 days prior to departure, we will charge 50% of the booking amount.
    • 7 days or fewer prior to departure or no show, we will charge 100% of the booking amount.
