Starting bright and early from Hobart, we’ll make our way to the Tasman Peninsula where our guides will share fascinating stories and the history of the area and show you incredible views from Australia’s highest sea cliffs like Pirates Bay Lookout. We’ll then walk along the Waterfall Bay Cliff Top which is known as one of Tasmania’s “Great Short Walks.” This is an easy 45-minute walk that ends with the incredible rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.

Next, we’ll make our way to visit the Tassie Devils just in time for their feeding. Watch as these animals bring out their devilish behaviour during feeding time. Then we’ll walk among the local fauna and flora visiting and feeding the wallabies along the way.

We’ll then head to Port Arthur Historic Site to uncover the grim and violent history of the early Australian Penal system. You’ll have plenty of time to explore and get a real sense of what life was like for a convict in this “inescapable prison.”

On our way back to Hobart, we’ll visit historic township of Richmond. Shop around, grab a coffee, stop for some delicious chocolate and walk one of Australia’s oldest bridges, the “haunted” sand-stone bridge built by convicts.

We return to Hobart after a busy, full and amazing day out.

Better than expected

Our driver was extremely helpful and what he didn't know about the devil's and Port Arther wasn't worth knowing. All in all a brilliant day out, thoroughly recommended.
