Are you ready for 3 days of pure adventure? Join us as we take on the wilderness of Kakadu National Park on a 3-day 4WD adventure! Jump on your 4WD and get ready to see spectacular views such as the world-famous Ubirr looking over the Nardab floodplains and into Arnhem land. You'll get to hike among beautiful nature, swim in pristine locations with breathtaking views, see Australia's incredible wildlife, and end one of your days on a wildlife cruise on Yellow Waters at sunset. Your accommodation is twin-share, with ensuite facilities and air conditioning. This will be a trip you won't forget!

DAY 1 – DARWIN – KAKADU

  • Pick up at 6.30-6.45 am from your accommodation in Darwin
  • We’ll start by heading towards Kakadu National Park, with a stopover at the iconic Australiana Bark Hut for a quick refreshment.
  • Next stop: Tidal East Alligator River for croc sightings and flying foxes!
  • Then on to the world-famous Ubirr. Northern Australian rock art can be found here. Learn about the art from your guide and the meaning behind these special paintings. A climb to the top is rewarded with staggering 360º views over the Nardab floodplains and into Arnhemland.
  • We will stay in a private room at the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel in Jabiru.

Fitness: Walking 3 kms

Meals: Lunch included. Dinner is at your own expense.

DAY 2 – KAKADU

  • Breakfast
  • 4 Wheel driving to Jim Jim Falls.
  • A 1 km walk through the gorge surrounded by towering 200m high sandstone cliffs leads to a plunge pool where you can swim or relax with the beautiful views.
  • Visit the Warradjan cultural centre for interactive displays and demonstrations.
  • We’ll stay at Cooinda Lodge
  • 2hr Sunset Cruise on the famous Yellow Waters. You’ll see spectacular wildlife including abundant birdlife and crocodiles in their natural habitat.
  • Return to Cooinda Lodge for dinner, which is at your own expense.

Fitness: Walking 5kms

Meals: Breakfast & lunch. Dinner is at your own expense.

DAY 3: KAKADU – DARWIN

  • Breakfast
  • Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). A 1km hike through a paperbark forest which leads to the plunge pool for a cool swim.
  • Then we will head to Gunlom Falls. At the top of the hike, you’ll get to swim in naturally occurring infinity pools with a spectacular view.
  • Return to Darwin via the historic town of Pine Creek arriving in Darwin at approximately 5.30pm ending our Kakadu tour.

  • Minimum age: 8
  • -Min age recommended for our 2022 tours is 15 years of age, however we will take children as young as 8 years.

    -All tours are most suitable for ages between 18 and 45, however those older than this range can be taken into consideration.

  • This experience welcomes families with children.

Notes

  • -Accommodation options on this tour include the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, Cooinda Lodge Kakadu and Anbinik Kakadu Resort. Accommodation is twin-share, with ensuite facilities and air conditioning.

    -Sleeping bag can be hired for $20, please advise when booking

    -Note: Luggage is strictly restricted to a soft bag of 10kg per person.

    -Itinerary may be done in reverse at the discretion of the guide.

    -All itineraries are subject to change without notice due to seasonal and extreme weather conditions, National Park road or attraction closures and cultural commitments from Traditional owners.

    -All tours must be reconfirmed 24 hrs prior to travel.

    -Travel insurance is highly recommended to travellers who embark on any tours with Territory Expeditions.

    -Please note that the 3 Day Kakadu Adventure is fully accommodated so no camping applies to this tour.

  • -Price includes National Park Fee of $40/Adult and $20/Child to be paid on board

    -Single supplement $1912 includes $40 NPF POB
