A lovely trip on the Barron River

A lovely trip on the river. Kim was a most entertaining and informative guide ands we learnt so much about the area, it plants and wildlife. We were lucky to see not only a crocodile sunbathing on the bank, but also a cassowary and turtles. The swallows zooming about the boat were especially lovely. The trip was great value and we so enjoed the experience of being on the water. Very highly recommended.

Relaxing tour

Leisurely cruise up and down the river with great scenery along the way. Our guide was informative too. We didn't get to see any of the crocs, but that's not something that can/should be controlled. The jetty was a short walk away from the Kuranda train station (note that there are steps to navigate).

Thank you very much for your review. Indeed, wildlife is completely uncontrollable and that's how we like it. We never know what passengers on the Kuranda Riverboat will see during one of our cruises but they are guaranteed a relaxing and informative tour with great scenery.

Worth every cent

This tour was 100% better than expected, the guide was very friendly and also full of great facts and knowledge. We missed out on seeing a croc as it was raining but we got within meters of a baby cassowary which was amazing. Would definitely visit again as it served as a great excuse to head to Kuranda to have a look around aswell.

Thanks very much Caleb for your great review! It's always very special when passengers get to see some of the amazing wildlife in the area. I am glad you got to see the young cassowary, who we call Dorothy, the dinosaur bird!
